Alexander Keith’s
Nova Scotia Style Lager
ABV – 5.4
Appearance – Sharp, clear light straw color. Bubbles coagulate strangely on the surface.
Smell – Very slightly pungent smell , like last year’s hay.
Taste – Sweet candy-like start, caramel middle, mild finish and gentle bitterness in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel – Just a whisker watery.
Drinkability – Interesting, easy to drink.
Notes – I’m not familiar with “Nova Scotia style lager”, but this beer seems to have a lot of ale characteristics. Pretty tasty though.
My call – 3.5
